The Eastern Wei dynasty (534–550) Buddha sculpture, made from limestone with pigment traces, dates back to the mid-6th century. Measuring 80 cm in height, 26.7 cm in width, and 19.7 cm in depth, its base has a diameter of 29.2 cm. This Chinese artwork belongs to the sculpture category and is a part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's collection. The piece was gifted by Mr. and Mrs. Earl Morse in honor of A. Schoenlicht in 1963, bearing accession number 63.25. It underwent an initial scan during the NYC Museum MediaLab Meetup 3D Funday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, performed with a Sense 3D hand-held scanner.
