Buddha Duke
thingiverse
In Taiwan, a Buddha-like mindset often translates to wishing for a happy ending without putting in any actual effort. For instance, a Buddha-like approach to software development is when a team takes on a ridiculously inefficient process that includes no specifications, coding, testing, or reviewing. The project manager typically assumes everything will work out okay after the deadline. Java is one of my most familiar programming languages. Duke, the Java mascot, has an interesting story you can find at [Duke, the Java Mascot](https://www.oracle.com/java/duke.html). The point here is a metaphor. If your team uses Java and adopts this Buddha-like development approach, you might actually want to take action.
