Bud support for easy timelapses
thingiverse
This piece forms part of a project I have been working on. The goal of this piece is to automatically capture an image at the end of each layer without requiring tools such as OctoPrint and Octolapse. Here's how it works: Print out this piece, clip your buds into place in the spots shown (I use iPhone buds), and position them at the end of your X-axis on your printer (my model is a Prusa i3B). Once you've printed the piece, select the print job for which you want to create a timelapse, slice it with your regular slicer, and use the code I developed to add G-code commands that move the bed and the printer head to their limits, then take a picture. After the print is complete, gather all your images and use third-party software to compile them into a timelapse.
