I'm excited to collaborate on the ownership of artwork through a distributed network. The exhibition will be held in New Cross during the Goldsmiths Masters of Fine Arts Degree show, where my research as a graduate student is focused on producing artworks through open source development. I'm reaching out to the 3D printing community for help with a project that's been months in the making. I've created a file to design a Geosphere that measures over three meters in diameter, consisting of intersecting rods with nodes made from 3D prints. To make this process accessible to everyone, I believe the printing should be distributed so that participants can contribute with minimal time invested. By using modularity, self-organization, and collaboration, I aim to connect a network of artists, designers, and makers within a larger community. If you're interested in joining the project, we need designers, print technicians, and artists to contribute to the discussion. Please add your personal touch or creative input so that your voice can be heard! I envision the nodes having a diverse range of styles and designs. I'm extending an invitation to international printer techs, artists, and makers to join in as well! As I'm doing this project for the love of it, I'll cover shipping costs.
