Buckminster London Community Sculptcha
thingiverse
I'm excited about the opportunity to distribute ownership of an artwork through collaboration, network building, and open source development. The exhibition will take place in New Cross during the prestigious Goldsmiths Masters of Fine Arts Degree show. As a graduate student, my research has led me to question the production of artworks through traditional means. I'm reaching out to the 3D printing community for help! I've worked on a file that creates a Geosphere roughly three meters in diameter, with nodes made from 3D prints. To make this project accessible, I believe the printing should be distributed so everyone can participate with minimal time invested. Through modularity, self-organization, and collaboration, I hope to connect a network of artists, designers, and makers to a global community. If you're interested in joining the project, we need designers, print technicians, and artists to contribute their ideas and expertise. Please add something personal or creative to the project so your voice can be heard! I envision the nodes showcasing a diverse range of perspectives. I'd like to extend an invitation to international printers and artists as well. If you're interested in participating, I'll cover shipping costs – it's all about spreading love!
