This was created for a pottery "slip bucket" made from a 5-gallon "paint" bucket and used for waste water during pottery throwing. The clay (now "slip") settles to the bottom, allowing you to open the spigot and drain off the water at the top. Beer fermenters could use this on their fermenting tanks to drain off the beer at the bottom, (Note: You'd want to print in PET and use either a gasket or food-grade adhesive. But since these can be purchased for $4 online, I'm not sure it's worth it.) Purchase a 5-gallon paint bucket and a 3/4" spigot at your big-box hardware store. I used E6000 as an adhesive. Print Settings Printer: FolgerTech 2020 Prusa i3 AL Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .35mm Layer Height Infill: 25% Notes: Inside and locking ring pieces rotate Y=90 Outside piece rotates Y=270 Post-Printing The locking ring will need a little cleanup to open the threads on the edges. Drill a 15/16" hole at your desired location in the bucket (3" from the bottom for me). Dry fit all the pieces. Having to turn the inside piece to get past the threads is okay. Put glue on the curved surface of the inside piece, ensuring that there's sufficient glue where the piece passes through the bucket. Insert the piece through the hole as shown in the pictures (the long edge will be parallel to the rim of the bucket). Avoid getting glue on the threads. Put glue on the curved surface of the outside piece and slide it over the inside piece. Avoid getting glue on the threads. Screw on the locking ring and make sure everything is positioned correctly. I added a bead of glue on the inside edges, inside the bucket. Allow glue to cure. Glue the spigot to the inside piece. I used standard PVC cement for this.
