For attaching 3/8" ID clear vinyl tubing to a 5-gallon bucket, drill a 1/2-inch hole in the bucket approximately 1.5 inches from the outside bottom of the bucket. Coat the convex base of the barb with E6000 and press firmly through the hole from inside the bucket. Spin the barb in the hole to evenly distribute the E6000 between the base and the bucket, forming a tight seal. Continue spinning until the fattest edge of the base is facing up. Allow the base to dry before attaching a washer so it won't spin as you position the washer. Coat the concave side of the washer with E6000, being careful to avoid the edge of the center hole. Carefully slide the washer over the barb and press firmly against the bucket. Rotate the washer to evenly distribute the E6000 between the washer and the bucket, forming a tight seal. Continue spinning until the thinnest edge of the washer is facing up. Make sure both the washer and base are flush, tight, and oriented properly, then allow them to set for 24 hours before screwing on the nut. Do not over-tighten the nut or you will break the seal, and your bulkhead will leak. UPDATE: The original nut did not print out very clean. Use the files marked "v2" instead for clean-printing nuts.
