Carving in Buck Wood, Thackley, Bradford, West Yorkshire stands out as the largest of a dozen or so carved boulders discovered by the volunteer group 'Friends of Buck Wood' during their surveys in 2009. Alongside carvings, these surveys identified probable Iron Age enclosures and stretches of walling. A HLF grant was awarded to excavate the area in 2009, yielding finds including querns and flints. The motifs feature several cups, with two boasting long linear grooves. Documented in Keith Boughey's regional rock art archive as 10b, it is one of nine carvings covered under Historic England's 2016 scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1429927. This stone lies outside the CSI:Rombalds Moor Project survey area and does not have an ERA record. A model was created from 17 stereo pairs captured in December 2009.
