Buck converter din rail mount with terminal blocks
thingiverse
I redesigned this din rail mount for the LM2596 buck converter to make it safer and more functional. I added some extra protection around the buck converter itself, and also created indentations on the edge so that I can glue in some terminal blocks without having to solder any wires. This new design may not be the prettiest thing out there, but I think it's a big improvement over the original because you don't need to solder anything to replace the wires for the converter. I also left the holes from the original design intact so that if you still want to use zip ties instead of terminal blocks, you can do just that. In the future, I plan on improving this design even further in order to eliminate some of the safety issues I encountered when using it - like the burn marks from forgetting to add a hole for access to the potentiometer and accidentally burning a little edge to accommodate screws from the terminal blocks.
