<p>This box was designed to house the Bulvack LM2596 DC to Dc buck convertor, from Amazon. We use these convertors to adjusted voltage in vehicles, printers and some small automation applications.&nbsp;<br>The box is not water tight but it house the board and can be closed with 4-M3bolts.<br>I have had good luck applying RTV silicone around the lid and then screwing it in place. Silicone is also applied to the outlet holes on the sides of the box, prior to passing the wires through them. Silicone is re-applied/worked back into the holes after the wires have been passed through them.</p><p>There are no mounting holes but there are location pegs for the board to rest on.<br>Good box/board combination to add a power source inside cars for LED light strips, dedicated USB power ports and other projects requiring voltage levels below a cars standard 12 volts.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
