One traditional Malay fishing method is the use of a bamboo bubu with rattan ring frames as a trap or guiding barrier. These portable devices can be carried by hand or on the shoulder depending on their size and work without attendance. Typically employed by local fishermen near seas, rivers, or shallow waters, bubus allow fish to enter through a funnel-shaped bait compartment and exit only via a collection door, trapping them inside. Bubu sizes and file formats such as max, obj, and fbx are available for use.
