Bubendorf, Zigarettendose
sketchfab
Dating: circa 1910 AD Location: Bubendorf, Switzerland Year of discovery: 2010 Width: 8 cm In the Rössli Inn, built in 1694/1695, in Bubendorf, a bronze cigarette box was found in 2010 on an intermediate floor of the attic. On the picture, an armed Bedouin is posing on a dromedary, with an oriental scenery in the background that turns out to be Cairo with the so-called Alabaster Mosque, built in 1824 at the order of Muhammad Ali. The founder of modern Egypt apparently served as namesake for the cigarette brand.
