This object was designed and created using Tinkercad. Check out the project at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/kPxzSn2JLAR. Here's a video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTC2JURFe7k. This 3D printing project was my biggest yet, but it's also super cool! I'm entering it into the Trick or Treat contest, and while it might be considered a trick because it bubbles, watching it bubble is definitely a treat. I came up with this idea on my own and designed it from scratch. After some trial and error - okay, a lot of trial and error - I finally got it to work just right. To build this project, you'll need: 1. A small toy motor (20mmx30mm) with a varying shaft size; I used one from an old toy car. 2. An on/off button switch with a 15mm diameter base/shaft that fits into the cauldron. 3. Some thin wires (22gauge). 4. Two lengths of 14gauge solid copper wire, each about 40-50mm long. 5. Two AA batteries. 6. Three #4 x1/2" sheet metal screws or equivalent. The logs house the AA batteries and require you to make connections using the 14gauge wire by hammering it onto a hard surface - watch my video on making a terminal block for details. The batteries should be inserted in the same direction, as this project runs on 1.5VDC with double the amperage of standard designs, which I suspect will make it last longer. If you have any questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask!
