Bubble Machine Wind Wheel Mount
thingiverse
Original wind wheel mounts cracked for me under load, causing them to snap apart. Printing with PLA could solve that issue, but I have a spool of ABS I want to get rid of first. I was looking for a design more forgiving to printing errors. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 original kit Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 200 um Notes: Printed with support on screw holes. If you have bridges tuned, it should be okay without them. Four perimeters and five top/bottom layers for strength. Used Slic3r modifiers to make base plate 100% infill and middle leg with head higher infill than side legs. How I Designed This I took measurements of the original and prepared my replacement as a drop-in solution. I wanted to print it on its side to prevent delamination under load. I used a 3mm spacer from the original set I had lying around to offset the wind wheel.
