Bubble Light stand

Bubble Light stand

Bubble lights are some of the coolest Christmas lights, but they are hard to put on a tree. Use these stands to put the lights on your mantle, window sill, desk, etc. There are two versions of the stand, one holds one light and the other holds two (double bubble!). The stands interlock, so you can chain as many as you need together. My light sets have seven lights, so three doubles and a single work. The doubles are just over six inches wide so if that's too big for your printer, you can print all singles, or print the doubles diagonally. My Vyper handled the double bubbles easily. My lights have a base that's a hair over 15 mm's in diameter. Check your lights to see if they will fit. The sockets won't flex much, so if your lights are much bigger, you may need to tweak the design. The wires are on either side of the base, with a clip on the front. There are slots on either side of these bases for the wires and a slot in front for the clip. I used black PLA, but any type of filament would probably work as well. Black works well, the stands "disappear" in low light, or maybe you want to print them in festive red and green. The lights are 70 mm's apart, so the wire between the lights kind of piles up at the bases of the lights. It needs some type of cable management - a project for next Christmas. Or do a remix and improve them!
