Replacement lock clip / clasp for Bubba brand Flo water bottle available online at www.bubbabrands.com serves as backup to primary lid lock, securing it closed. In the US, replacement lids can be purchased for $5. Living overseas, I designed and printed a needed part, much like an astronaut on Mars, due to limited access to replacement options. Despite having the option to buy a new bottle from a local supermarket, I opted to extend the life of my teen's favorite water bottle by creating this custom clip. I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to sketch the clip, my first CAD project in many years, and was impressed with the free software available to hobbyists. The clasp fit perfectly on the first print, and the PLA material held up well for six months of dishwasher use, five times a week. I sliced the design using Simplify3D with medium PLA settings (0.2 mm layer thickness, 100% infill) and printed it on a Flash Forge Creative Pro printer.
