Bub and Bonnie-Bo - Retro fan art

I started this project as an entry for the 2019 RetroGasm competition, but I never completed it back then. Now that I've finally finished it, I'm excited to share it with you.\nI initially chose Bub as my main character, but I ended up expanding on a small scene featuring one of my favorite enemies, Bonnie-Bo. Her sprite was so charming that I couldn't resist giving her some extra love. All the textures were created using Substance, blending procedural and hand-authored materials to achieve the perfect look.\nI had an absolute blast working on this project, despite the long production timeline - it felt like months since I started. A huge shoutout goes to Taito for creating such amazing character designs for Bub and Bonnie-Bo.
