I was faced with having to replace the mainboard of my new printer from Kickstarter. I think I said it all there. I chose to install a Big Tree Tech SKR 1.4 Turbo with 2209s. The heatsinks on the 2209s push into 1mm ribs that have to be removed to close the cover. There is no way to recess this further. There is also no harm in leaving the cover off on the bottom as it will provide better airflow anyway. I installed it in my Shark and it has worked really well for me. I am happy to answer any questions about cable placement. I am submitting this here as I have been told by a few people that they are having board issues also, and I think this is a good alternative. The display I am using is a BTT TFT 3.5 and I am using tmc2209 stepper drivers.
