BTT SKR 1.3 mini E3 V2.0 with BTT TFT35 E3 can be fitted to Geeetech A30 to provide Marlin 2.0 support with linear advance, print acceleration, smart controlboard or heatsink fan and many others. In case of V1.2 you should add heatsink to the transistor controlling bed heating. V2.0 has bigger one that handles 20 A without cooling. Reduction board for SKR board is in STL. You can print it without top/bottom solid layer to enhance cooling effect. But use at least 20% infill (triangles or hexa preferred) and 1 or 2 mm perimeter. The board is rotated so you can insert microSD card through old USB hole. Original microSD card hole is too low. The main picture shows old orientation. You will need: - a lot of JST HX (2.54) 2 pins male connector (endstops, fans, thermistors) - 2x JST HX (2.54) 4 pins - second Z and E0 motors - long M3 bolts+nuts for TFT board attachment - patience Steps: 1. Print reduction plate (the model here) 1. Print cylindrical spacers for attaching the screen to the case. The original ones will be removed. They have to be tall enough to leave a gap of ~1 mm between the screen and the case. 1. Remove bottom cover (leave the rubber pads) 1. Remove power supply(PSU) (remove 4 black bolts from outside, bend metal pad in the center of the bottom holding the PSU; I'm not using it any more) 1. Disconnect the PSU 1. Remove all boards and all fans (won't be needed) 1. Remove bolt holders of the screen (drilling was the easiest) 1. Drill new holes for new screen and knob. There's a part under glass that has no pixels so the bolts should be shifted to the right a little bit to center the screen. 1. Cut side opening for inserting USB and SD card. 1. Drill new holes for PSU not to collide with screen board and it's connectors. You can shift it around 1 cm to the back. 1. Prepare cables - you need JST XH 2.54 connectors. For the endstops you need to pick 2 of three cables that cause short circuit when endstop pressed. Hotend cable is tricky. Components share the same +24V cable so each component has only 1 cable typically. Double check for short circuit not to burn the mainboard. 1. In case of PSU connectors just cut one side of the U connector and you can twist it a little bit. 1. Mount printed reduction plate and mount the mainboard. 1. Connect all the cables according to BTT pin schematic 1. Connect PSU. 1. Start it. 1. You have to change endstop polarity and size of the printing volume in the FW, compile it and load it in the board. Use BTT SKR configuration files. You can change behavior of the heatsink fan to start according to hotend temperature.
