I designed this casing for my new Octopus V1.1 board and thought id share it with you guys, its a basic enclosure with dual 4010 driver cooling fans, i originally designed it to be 50mm high but i wanted to include fan ducts instead of just open fans inside the lid so i increased the height to 60mm and i have included both housing stl's so you have the choice to use the 60mm with fan ducts or the 50mm without the fan ducts though you can still use the fan ducts on the 50mm but the fan will need to be mounted on the outside of the lid. My enclosure is exposed on my printer so i added the bigtreetech Octopus Logo in red on black and i think it pops out nicely but i have included a lid without the Octopus Logo.... There are: 4x 20mm holes to the rear of the housing to facilitate wiring inputs and outputs. 2x rectangular holes in the front face, the larger is 25x10mm for exp1 and exp2 or exp3 LCD wires and connectors, the smaller is 16x5mm for tft rs232 wires. 3x 4mm mounting holes on both sides and 4x 4mm mounting holes on the base to make mounting the casing flexible for most installations... Hardware used: 4x M3 x 5mm Flat Head screws for securing the Octopus board 3x M3 x 5mm Countersunk Head screws for securing the Lid 4x M3 x16mm for mounting the Pi mount in between the lid and fan 4x M2.5 x 5mm for mounting the Pi Update: Added a lid for a 120mm Fan as Requested. Added a 60mm casing with centred right side mounting holes for 3x2020 as Requested. Added Fusion360 STEP files for 50mm case and Lid with Logo, not sure if dimensions are correct as i didn't create it in Fusion360 and only imported the stl files and exported them to step files as step files were requested.... Update 10/09/21 Added the Octopus Logo as a step file as requested. Added a new Lid for the 60mm casing with an internal Pi4b mount and a fan for the Pi, because the octopus board has a Pi header i didn't want an externally housed Pi running Octoprint so i mounted a standoff on the underside of the lid held on with the 4010 fan screws and it works surprisingly well I've also added the Octoprint logo as the fan shroud... COMMING SOON A complete standalone housing designed for a friends Ender3 Pro with addon housings for an attached meanwell power supply internal mounts for a Pi with 4010 fan cooling mounting for a 60mm Noctua fan cable tie/management mounts Gullwing style flip open doors quick release keyhole tft/screen mount I have also included photo's of this new casing design which is in the final stages of development, please message any suggestions for consideration...
