The BTT-1 stands out as a heavily armored recovery vehicle built on top of the powerful ISU-152 self-propelled gun platform, with the gun itself removed and replaced by an array of versatile engineering equipment. These rugged vehicles were all produced after World War 2, playing crucial roles in various parts of the world until they eventually phased out in the early 1980s.
