BTS Maker Coin

This is my first real attempt at making a maker coin/brand logo. I wanted to incorporate my "stop and smell the roses" mentality. Along with technology. Hence the five "pedals", circuits, and LEDs.

I am still working on some elements. Such as the text on the back, that hopefully will point people toward my website.

www.benstechstop.com

I would be happy to hear your thoughts. Whether my intent comes across, and your first impressions. I welcome constructive criticism, or praise. Praise never hurts. :D

Print Settings

Printer:

Folgertech FT-5

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2 mm

Infill:

25%

Notes:

I found that it printed in about 20 minutes, with quite nice quality at a layer height of 0.2 mm. It uses very little filament, and looks pretty good. I tried increasing its size by 10,15, and 20%; but it seems to come out best at its original size. I may experiment more with it, depending on what happens.

Post-Printing =============
Painting a Maker Coin

I tried out painting with acrylic pants, just to see how it would look, and how long it would take. I figure a "premium" maker coin could be handy at times. It can be done pretty quickly, with minimal effort. So, I may make a few batches of plain and premium maker coins.

Category: Coins & Badges
