BT60 Bad Ass Fin can & BT50 Baffle

BT60 Bad Ass Fincan

I wanted a simple Big Bertha style fin can but also liked the tapered tail of the V2, so I mixed them together to make the BAF!

You can print this without supports and the fins are structured to have internal framing that gives them extra strength.

You can insert an Estes 24mm (BT50) tube in and there are a couple of holes in the nozzle that will allow you to use a paperclip to retain the motor. (at least that's my theory)

The BT50 to BT60 baffle should provide enough redirection of the ejection charge to protect plastic parachutes - however it probably would be good to include some steel wool (like Aerotech uses) to help cool the gasses.

Haven't test flown these but if you do, please post video link in the comments!

Fusion 360 files

BAF

Baffle

Category: Hobby
