The Official Boy Scout Logo To Make The Official Boy Scout Logo in Adobe Photoshop CC, Follow These Step-by-Step Directions. Create A New Document: Launch the Adobe Photoshop program on your computer by clicking its shortcut icon located in the taskbar or start menu. Choose File from the top menu bar and select New to begin making a brand-new document. Set Your Color Mode: Go back up to the menu bar, choose Edit > Preferences (on Windows) or Photoshop > Preferences (on Mac), then choose Display & Cursors from the left-hand panel in the Preferences dialog box that appears. In this box, ensure that Preview RGB Images at Full Resolution is unchecked if it was already checked. Define Your Background Color: Click and drag a blank workspace within the program's screen to get rid of any current selections. From there click on the Edit menu, choose Fill with an adjustment color or background. If you don't want a completely empty file make your changes by checking and ticking Color Box to apply the selected foreground colour to all layers of the document or use another layer that is already open to select it. Choose The Background Layer: Click once within the document's contents on this empty, newly opened "Layer" box called: BackGround then right-clicking your left-mouse button once you see an invisible cross-shaped marker within that click action so choose Fill Layers, followed by checking RGB and clicking a background color with this icon (which will give some visual reference), which also enables Fill Options for use with colors as part of making our scouting badge. Define A Gradient Effect: Double-click in your new workspace on top to activate its settings options window if you've selected a colour that was already visible earlier in Photoshop CC or select it from "layer" then navigate over through different menus. Once here you can choose whether you'd like gradient type at any given time of layer - vertical (the most popular style with which we'll stick). Begin Painting Your Boy Scout Logo: Begin drawing out an approximate shape that somewhat represents what one sees in this photograph. Don't forget these details and make sure all other features you find fit nicely into where they are within the illustration you create. Fill In The Middle Sections Of Our Scouting Emblem: To get it even closer we just fill both empty circles from center, making their background a solid dark red while keeping those inner borders as we established above blackened - doing that means taking two circles (not arcs). This might look complicated if it does for your taste - so simplify or use what is already here since simplicity goes far and adds to overall neatness. Drawing Scouting Shield Background:
