This is a pot still I designed and built during South Africa's alcohol prohibition period. It uses a modified 50L EU Keg with a few additional bells and whistles. And yes - the Libieg cooler is made from glass - which looks really badass!Note that my design isn't perfect yet - I have loads of mad ideas I want to try. I did however manage to produce a 55% ABV product without any additional modifications to increase the reflux rate - not too bad!I'm using an Arduino based PID system with a PT1000 sensor to control the temperature. The element is controlled using a solid-state relay (SSR).
