Headband to fit A4 binder foils optimized for speed of printing inspired by the Prusa Shield developed by Nicolas de Coster from Fablab ULB and improved by Andreas Kopp from Erfndergarden and Mang from mangtronix. The aim of this design is to be fast printable while maintaining the same comfort using a parametric open source design. Used by Universitary Hospital Center Sint Pieter in Brussels. Used by Wolfartsklinik Gräfefling for doctors that intubate, Germany Used by department of Katastrophenschutz for doctors that intubate, München-Kliniken Schabing, Germany Used by Caritas München for staff at food serving for homeless Used by Caritas München at Pfelgeeinrichtungen Used by Klinik Bogenhausen at Internistische Intensiveinheit 02 Designed with #openscad. ## Version 1: 3 Pins to make holes with a normal 2 hole punch. Holes 3.9 mm from top for better head protection. This version is maintained on gitlab: https://gitlab.com/fablab-ulb/projects/coronavirus/protective-face-shields ## Version 2 (suggestion by Andreas Kopp and coded by Mang): 4 pins to punch with a 4 hole punch. Holes from top are 1.2 mm. Here's some information about Punching Holes: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locher#%E2%80%9E888%E2%80%9C,_4-Loch-Erweiterung_von_ISO_838 The two middle holes are set with ISO 838 like if you fold a piece of paper in the middle, and the two outer holes are set with 80 mm spacing. So all holes are 80 mm apart. Version 1 can be stacked to fit more pieces on a single print plate at the same time. Two pieces next to each other. Update: There is now a version that does not need support and has no holes for easier printing Update 30/03/2020: There is now a fusion file as well ### Visor: We use A4 Binder Covers with at least 0.18 mm, instead of 0.5 PET or PETG, which is easier to source and cheaper. Drawings are uploaded to the file section. Our aim is to provide this shield to as many people as possible who do not need the deluxe Prusa Version and prefer a lighter version. This shield can be crowd-produced. 4 Hole puncher: Set to 888 and punch once 2 Hole puncher: Set to 888, punch, turn around, punch again Other Materials: 2 x 2mm, 50mm Rubberbands It works with PETG or PLA. ### Assembly Instructions: When you produce and assemble at home, put pieces in a sealable plastic bag while wearing gloves or washing your hands before touching the pieces. Write down when you have put the last piece in the bag, including your name and how many pieces you did, and bring it to a collection point. Make bags of 10 or 50 pieces. Please also read these instructions on the Prusa Blog before assembling: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/from-design-to-mass-3d-printing-of-medical-shields-in-three-days/ https://gitlab.com/fablab-ulb/projects/coronavirus/protective-face-shields ### Distribution: There is also a website for Germany: https://www.makervsvirus.org/de/ In Bavaria and Munich, we have opened a separate group: Open Source COVID19 Medical Supplies Bavaria https://www.facebook.com/groups/bavarianmakersvsvirus/ In Spain, there is this: https://www.coronavirusmakers.org/index.php/es/
