BRZ Qi Cupholder
thingiverse
This is a drop-in replacement for the Subaru BRZ/Scion FRS cupholder with an enlarged phone pocket designed specifically to fit a Nexus 6. The phone pocket is roomy, allowing my huge "phone" to almost fully insert without feeling cramped. A cutout in the design enables easy installation of a single coil Qi charger. To assemble this custom charger holder, simply print and attach your qi coil in place using glue or adhesives. Then, attach the top part via the central screw hole, which is intentionally designed for easy access. For an alternative assembly method, feel free to glue everything together at once - it's your preference! When printing the top layer of this charger holder, a support structure is required due to the distinctive lip shape. To ensure proper adhesion and reduce bed surface friction, you'll also need to use a raft during the print job. A hole is intentionally left in the bottom of each cup to accommodate wires for edge-lit acrylic accents - this idea still requires final decision. Additionally, source files (.ipt) are available for your reference, which can be accessed using Autodesk Inventor 2015 software. Be aware that these designs might be unstable or difficult to modify, considering my relatively basic understanding of the program's workflow features.
