Bryton Rider handlebar mount
thingiverse
I've recently bought a Bryton bike computer (Bryton Rider 420 in my case)for my mountain bike. As i use 2-3 of them (i like to repair and ride old bikes), I was getting frustrated because there was just one mount in the box. So i've tried to find more on Amazon, but they were around 20 bucks. So i've thought...why they just put one mount in the box? Do they want me to buy a computer for each bike? No way! So i've searched for a model to print in Thingiverse. Unfortunately the one that i've found was quite good replica of the original, but so difficult to print! So many supports...and at least with my humble Anycubic Mega the results were awful and not usable. So i decided to redesign from scratch the mount and i have to say i'm pretty satisfied of the results (tested on a very bumpy off-road trail. And i want to share it with the community! I've designed two versions. One with a mold for a silicon grip to use on the handlebar together with the mount (in this case the handlebar diameter is 22 millimeters). I've used a bicomponent silicon (shore 30), quite easy to use. The files for this version have "sil" or "silicon" in the file name. Then i've thought maybe not everybody wants to play with silicon, so i've designed a "normal" version in three handlebar diameter size (22, 24, 28 mm). In this case you can use whatever piece of rubber you have to put between the mount and the handlebar. I've used Ikea Sandviva pot holder (around 3 euro) and cut a circle the same dimension of the mount. I'd say very nice grip! Of course you will need a rubber band to fix the mount to the handlebar (you can use the original ones (i've found many in the box) or something similar). If you have any suggestion, you are welcome. If you need some different diameter, i can post some more versions (if they have enough requests). Enjoy!
