Bryar Pistol
thingiverse
My rendition of the Bryar pistol from the Star Wars Dark Forces video game that I grew up playing is a direct homage to my childhood favorites. To give it a personal touch, I took some liberties in the details and shaping process to suit my tastes. As an added bonus, I imported xizor's original work into Fusion 360 for scale and rough outlining before doing almost a complete re-CAD. The Bryar pistol has been included as multiple parts as well as a single unit for your convenience. Additionally, I have provided the STEP file of the CAD design so others can utilize it to create their own version. This project was originally intended as a weekend endeavor, but it ended up spanning an entire week due to my dedication to perfection. Although I didn't focus on creating a moving trigger or installing lights, I still wanted to showcase its potential for customization. If anyone wants to take this design further and add more features, please feel free to do so and share your results. The Bryar pistol was printed at a 0.2mm layer height using my custom E-bot printer with black PETG material. Due to its large size, I had to print it in multiple pieces on my 360 x 320mm bed. For most printers, you'll need to open the STEP file and break it down into smaller parts. To give the pistol a weathered look, I applied filler primer followed by Rustoleum metallic spray paints. The final touches were added using acrylics and paint pens (such as Sharpies) in various colors.
