Bruxelles heart
thingiverse
This is a heartfelt tribute from one person to the people of Bruxelles, to those in metro stations and airports who will no longer be present, to families and friends mourning their loved ones, and to all those wounded who will carry fear with them for the rest of their lives.\nA heart-shaped design features the Bruxelles emblem prominently inside, as seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symbols_of_Brussels\nThe back of the heart has a small hole that allows it to be easily hung on a nail.\nWe can show our solidarity with the Belgian people by wearing this symbol. As humans, we are all connected; in times of crisis, Europeans unite as one.\nThis design was created amidst the emotional aftermath of the terrorist attack in Bruxelles on 22 March 2016.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n New Matter MOD-t\n \n Rafts: \n No\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2 mm / layer\n \n Infill: \n 100%\n \n Notes:\n To achieve fast print times, this design was created hastily. Print each component separately without supports or rafts, using 4mm shell for each part to avoid infill.\nThe three parts should fit together well, even on poorly calibrated printers like mine. I left a 0.3mm gap between the pieces.\nUPDATE: The inner and outer symbol required printing at one-fourth of normal speed and 0.1 mm/layer due to their complex nature.
