While waiting for my carbon fiber frame to arrive for my 16mm Fishpepper 1s quad, I decided to take matters into my own hands and print out a temporary setup to get airborne as soon as possible. PETG proved to be flyable, but unfortunately, it weighed a bit more and broke a little too easily on the small frame. Nylon turned out to be the most durable option for me, and I was thrilled to find that my nylon-printed quad didn't break - although I stopped using it once the carbon fiber frame arrived. Interestingly, the carbon fiber frame only managed to save 1.3 grams compared to the nylon frame. Not a huge difference, but still a notable one! I also included spacers for mounting my 0703 motors to the 1mm CF frame, which helped prevent the screws from coming into contact with the windings. While this wasn't necessary for my printed frame, it's worth noting that if your screws are excessively long, you may need to take extra precautions.
