Brushless Motor Tube Mount (12mm tubes, 22xx & 18xx type outrunners)

For my latest FPV mini quad build project, I sought out tubular carbon fiber arms to utilize. As a result, I created a custom set of motor mounts specifically designed for 12mm OD tubes. Given that the most widely used motor sizes in the 200-300mm class are either 18XX or 22XX, two distinct versions are available. For the 18XX motors, there is a specified requirement for M2 mounting holes with 12 and 16mm spacing. In contrast, the 22XX motors demand M3 mounting holes with a 16 and 19mm spacing. These motor mounts feature an integrated cable guide to protect sensitive wiring as it runs through the tubes. An optional LED strip can be easily installed for orientation lighting purposes. On April 29th, 2015, I updated the design with a new V1.3 iteration featuring minor refinements and added support for a version of the 22XX mounts that exclude both bumpers and LED holders. To successfully print these motor mounts, simply refer to the provided instructions below. Since the files have already been 'Netfabbed' into the correct orientation, you shouldn't require any additional support material during the printing process. In my instance, I printed the mounts using PETG with a 0.2mm layer height and achieved satisfactory results at a two-shell thickness and 75% infill level. For assembly, you will need the following hardware: - For each motor mount, you will require between 2 to 4 flat head M2 or M3 bolts. - Additionally, four M2x16 bolts and corresponding nuts will be needed for secure mounting of both motors.
