Brushless motor mount slow flyer
thingiverse
This mount secures a brushless outrunner motor onto a square fuselage. It accommodates a square fuselage measuring 10mm x 10mm, such as one featured in "Slow Stick" photos. The motor mounting holes are spaced at 19mm x 16mm. Drill through the section that slips over the square fuselage to secure it in place. Consider adding supports for the motor shaft cavity ceiling. Bridging may also be effective. However, the version with 3 degree offsets does not require any supports since there is no ceiling. Use a perimeter setting of 100% - 20 will suffice. A stronger mount is preferred. UPDATE on August 18, 2020: After flight testing, I have added a new version with 3 degree offsets to the right and down to counteract P-Factor and asymmetric thrust. This modification has significantly improved flying under power.
