brushless Micro Tank
thingiverse
I have a Mini fabrikator, modified to print at 90x80 peds. There were no fast tanks available that fit my printer. I got bored with servo-driven tanks and decided to test direct drive brushless motors instead. However, the motors overheated and produced too much power. I decided to switch to belt-driven tanks. The only component I didn't modify or create was the track. I prefer printing with PETG because it has tight screw holes. The belt needs to be printed with TPU, which I source from Sainsmart. Here is my simple Taranis mix page and custom THR curve. Even with these settings, there's still too much power that needs to be dialed down.
