Brushless Gimbal

Brushless Gimbal

Here's my version of a brushless gimbal. With the addition of a brushless gimbal to your multi-rotor you can turn any run-of-the-mill quadcopter into a professional aerial photography platform by canceling out even the smallest attitude changes. This gimbal is designed around my quadcopter and will also be compatible with my tricopter in the near future. If you like my designs, please consider a small donation; it helps me keep designing. Thanks! Video Links: http://vimeo.com/71358538 Update 3/27/15: I've updated the motor mounts to a more universal format and added extra support on the battery tray to prevent it from sagging under the weight of the camera and motors. Update 2/17/14: I've added a 1/8th offset to the case, which should center up the lens on the longitudinal axis of the quadcopter. Thanks to Pylo for suggesting this update. Update 11/14/13: I've just uploaded a video I shot of some BASE jumping; check it out if you're wondering about a gimbal's performance. Update 01/27/14: I've uploaded modified gimbal files, added a GoPro3 case, and included lock nuts in the arm for easier attachment. Thanks to Miguel for suggesting this update. Instructions: Print and assemble the gimbal using 10% infill; it doesn't need to be incredibly strong. The gimbal uses T-motor 2208 brushless motors and SimpleBGC by AlexMos software.
