Brush Holder for 65mm dust shoe
thingiverse
I designed a part that fits perfectly on a pre-existing dust collector. The original design was missing a crucial component - a brush mount. To rectify this issue, I created my own version using the same STL files from Thingiverse. The original part can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2915093, but unfortunately, the user forgot to include it in their request and failed to respond to subsequent inquiries. I imported the STL files into Fusion 360 and designed my own part, which fit like a glove when printed. To secure it in place, I used six 2mm x 6mm magnets. To assemble the complete design, you'll need the following hardware: six M3 Allen key head bolts (10mm) and M3 nuts, four M4 nuts and bolts to hold collars in place, and six 2mm x 6mm magnets. I printed all the models using PETG with a 0.2 layer height and 40% infill, and added supports to each model. To complete this project, I'll be creating my own brush by cutting down an old broom and gluing it into the cavity, which has a 2mm slot.
