The Brunswick GSX pinsetter's shark Fin, PN: 47-095106-001, is held down into the Housing Assembly, PN: 47-095107-003, by a small plastic tab that is meant to deflect during installation and removal of the fin. This tab breaks with little effort, leaving you with two options, hack together a fix, or replace the roughly $50 injection molded part. This bracket is designed to be attached to the Housing Assembly with M3 hardware to keep the Fin in the Housing Assembly without restricting Fin, pin, pulley, and polycord motion.1) With all parts removed from the housing assembly, cut off all remaining plastic from the broken tab.2) Place the Fin back into the Housing, and place the Hold Down Repair Bracket onto the outside of the Housing so that the tab on the bracket sticks through the gap where the old tab used to be and above the pivot of the Fin, as to keep the Fin held down into the Housing. Ensure that the fin is able to pivot back and forth freely and that the bracket does not contact the round belt geared pulley or polycord.3) Drill two clearance holes for M3 hardware through the Housing in the location of the clearance holes on the Hold Down Repair Bracket.4) Assemble the solenoid and all associated hardware onto the Housing Assembly, then secure the bracket using M3 nuts, bolts, and washers.5) Assemble the rest of the Shark assembly onto the newly repaired Housing Assembly.6) Install into machine.
