BRUNHO LAOS DRAGON, SHEET METAL DRAGON

My tribute to a coworker Brunho, one of our amazing deburrers I've had the privilege of working alongside for the past 6 years. A couple of years ago, he brought in two wooden Dragons from his homeland Laos that I snapped photos of but had no idea what to do with them. The week before Christmas, he announced he's retiring at 75-ish, giving me a tight deadline to design and bring this project to life. With only a short time frame to program the laser, cut out parts, deburr them (a challenging task that proved difficult to navigate), assemble, and weld everything together, I decided to break down the unit into six sub-assemblies to make it easier to work on. As we progressed halfway through the project, Brunho suddenly realized what he was deburring, which led him to bring the subassemblies to welding so he could be more involved in bringing his wooden Dragon to life. Once he grasped that parts would need to go back for additional details, I was happy to transform trinityscsp's (Juarez) dragon into my own vision of Brunho's wooden Dragon. Construction consists of six sub-assemblies, 147 parts, and 36 unique components. This is my adaptation of trinityscsp (Juarez)'s incredible Laser-Cut Dragon Wooden Toy. I took his design and cleaned up the geometry, converting the cuts to splines to reduce file size by 90% and make it more fluent with complete customization of each piece. Huge thanks to Trinityscsp for sharing his amazing work! Likes, ideas, comments, and suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks to Mary Ellen, George, Kevin, Adam, and Dave for their time and attention. Dick Lowe
