I modified a nice design to suit my needs. I designed custom motor mounts that can accommodate the widely available Chinese 16mm gear motors, which come with speed options ranging from 50-300 rpm. I opted for the 150 rpm model and found it provided ample power and scale speed. The motor mounts feature a cap design that securely grips the motor in place. I also modified the hub to allow the planetary gearset to be recessed inside, enabling the use of a common 3mm D-shaped shaft. The motor stand is designed to slide seamlessly into the Bruder frame's stock configuration. If the tracks ever become stretched, you can easily raise the entire motor section and add a shim to increase tension on both motors evenly. On the drive hub, I removed the small standoffs between the cogs after printing. This particular design excels in its original form. I printed with PETG material at 100% infill density.
