This model represents a brown dwarf, a large gas giant that just barely failed to become an actual star. Despite this, it still has enough mass to fuse its hydrogen, giving the brown dwarf a light orange/brown glow. The surface temperature of this specific brown dwarf star fluctuates around 800 degrees Celsius, producing hot spots with a red glow like molten steel. Compared to my other two brown dwarfs, this one is hotter and denser, but colder and lighter. Thanks to HD textures and low poly construction, this model can be used in both far away backgrounds and close up scenes. Technical Details Render ready for both Eevee and Cycles Subdivision capable Low Poly Optimized for real time rendering Quad-based for peak performance Includes normal HD textures for everyday use (1920 x 960) Contains ultra HD textures for detailed shots (16000x 8000) HDRI background image included (8000 x 4000) All textures are original creations Features albedo, emission, roughness and displacement maps In reality, this brown dwarf star would have a diameter of around 165,000 kilometers. Some 3D programs struggle to display objects of this size accurately. To avoid complications and allow users to set their own scale, the model is not scaled to its real-life dimensions. The model consists of two main parts: a surface and an atmosphere. The atmosphere creates a subtle fade towards the edges of the planet, achieved using Blender's facing layer weight node. Due to differences in node systems between applications and some programs not requiring atmospheres, all export files are available with and without atmosphere.
