Brown Bear skull
sketchfab
Surface scan of a brown bear's skull from the D'Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum at the University of Dundee is conducted with precision. The Ursus arctos specimen is measured 43cm in length, acquired by D'Arcy Thompson during his Bering Sea expeditions in Kamchatka, Siberia between 1896-7. Scanning occurs using an Artec Eva surface scanner, producing a file that's exported as an obj. and imported into Zbrush for further manipulation. Texture is captured simultaneously during the scanning process, converted to Polypaint within Zbrush for detailed rendering. Feedback from users who download or print our models is highly valued, especially when used in educational settings and outreach initiatives.
