Brother Thermal Typewriter Spool Holder
thingiverse
Hello there, fellow thermal typewriter enthusiast. If you're like me, you have a slot or two in your cover for some thermal ink cartridges that haven't been made in decades, and which you will never use. Also, you probably are using rolls of thermal paper, like for fax machines or receipt printers, and it's kind of annoying to carry around boxes/spool holders for them. This is an attempt to make a compact, universal spool holder that uses skate bearings, and is compatible with holders for ink cassettes. I have a Sears 500, which is basically a Brother EP-22, and these fit neatly into the cover and pop out for use when I'm being a weirdo at a park or coffee shop. These work *fairly* well, but I would love feedback or suggestions. On my printer, the skate bearings are a very tight fit (which you want!), but are easy to put on using a vice clamp, or a quick release clamp. YMMV. The two are mirror images, so you need to print one of each of the models provided, and you'll need 4 standard skate bearings.
