Problem: Brother P-Touch Cube Plus (PT-P710BT) Label Maker Sits on a Small Shelf Behind My Monitor and Drops Labels to the Desktop Surface. Solution: This basket, supported by the P-Touch, catches the labels as they fall from the printer. == V1 ================================================== When cutting, I turn it sideways so the labels don't pile up under that huge overhang. The first version didn't work well. The printed labels just fell off to the side. == V2 ================================================== So, for version 2, I added a wall to prevent this and made the shelf slightly wider. I also decided the shelf didn't need nearly as much support. Version 2 worked better, but the flat shelf became an issue. The labels stopped as soon as the printer released them, hanging out in the mouth of the printer with the next label coming out over it. If I let this build up, it might cause a jam, although it could eventually push them away. == V3 ================================================== So, for version 3, I'm changing to a removable basket that catches the labels as they come out, letting them fall away from the printer mouth. Version 3 worked nicely. You don't have to tip it over for printing. The basket clips neatly into place on the base (requiring just a little effort to get it there). The printer cuts the label and it falls right into the basket! The basket/base interface is a bit tighter than I intended, so it's not easily removable. However, the basket isn't too deep to reach into. It's much easier than reaching over and down to the desktop behind my monitor. If I need to print again, I might try to loosen up that interface to make the basket more easily removable. But for now, I'm content.
