Broomstick Crevice Weeding Hoe
myminifactory
A 3D printable robust, durable and efficient Crevice Weeding Hoe designed to mount to a standard threaded broomstick, extension pole or paint-stick to remove unwanted weeds from the crevices in sidewalks and driveways and any other narrow spaces. The design has M3 -0.5mm threads for the screw and modified ACME “¾ “ X 5 TPI” threads that works with the three different broomsticks and extension poles I own. Please note that your mileage may vary, since it seems that there is no such thing as a standard thread pattern for broomsticks, extension poles and paint-sticks in North America. It looks like every company uses its own variation of the thread specification. Plus, I am not aware of standards for the threads for broomsticks and extension poles in other parts of the world. Therefore, a second “unthreaded” STL of this design is included to allow you to make your own custom version(s) to fit onto the actual broomsticks or extension poles in your area. The part can be easily 3D printed, without any support, on a modern inexpensive 3D Printer. It can be printed with a variety of materials, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and many other types of printable materials. PLA works very well for this application as long as the parts will not be used, stored or kept at in a high temperature environment, exceeding ~55 C (~ 130 F). PETG and ASA are other excellent choices. The object should be durable, easy to maintain, and last for a long time.
