Area of outcropping on Broom Ridge (OS name), Hunter’s Moor, near Ford, Northumberland. This is one of several areas of carved outcrop on Broom Ridge / Broomridge, just north of the escarpment. Referenced ‘Broomridge 3’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) the carving is described as: ‘On the north slope of the outcrop is a cup with three irregular concentric rings, traces of a fourth, and a large arc surrounding much of this central motif. It is very difficult to locate, as it is usually grass-covered and is very faint.’ NADRAP added the record to ERA in 2008.
