Brooklyn Bridge Cake Topper

We threw a 16th birthday bash for my son and his buddy, and one of their moms had an awesome idea - an NYC theme cake! His friend's mom whipped up two cakes, and I offered to build a connecting bridge between them. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Brooklyn Bridge, I designed a cake topper that would bring everything together. To create this masterpiece, I first printed each pier in two separate pieces. Then, I 3D-printed the roadway on its side with supports to give it some extra stability. After carefully removing the supports, I glued the roadway between the upper and lower pier pieces, creating a sturdy bridge that would hold up to all the party excitement. To make things even more special, I built the bridge in halves, so each birthday boy could take home their very own piece of the iconic NYC landmark.
