Brooke
pinshape
Brooke is a compilation of elements gathered from multiple sources, meticulously assembled in DAZ Studio and refined with precision in MeshLab. To make it printable for 3D printing, I sent the hair to MakePrintable.com for processing. One test print was produced at scale 1, which is currently being painted, while another example was printed at scale 1.899, the maximum capacity of my printer. Both prints yielded excellent results with outstanding detail. Despite the intricate design of the hair, it posed no significant challenge to printing. However, painting it proved to be a daunting task, requiring me to thin out my paint and almost dip her head to achieve adequate coverage. Subsequently, I repainted every other aspect of the model. In contrast, the bronze version required no paint at all. For optimal results, I recommend printing Brooke upright for streamlined support removal. If you plan to display her without a base, consider re-cutting the base to ensure she leans slightly forward, as her arms in the back disrupt her balance. She can stand steadily on a level surface but may topple over with even slight bumps. I printed Brooke using a Hictop 3DP-11 with a .4mm nozzle, .2mm layers, 1.2mm shell, 215c nozzle temperature, 60c bed temperature, and 60mm print speed. The model was printed upright with a raft and supports in place. I used GizmoDorks Bronze PLA for this particular print. Once completed, I will post the painted version as a separate print. I encourage you to share your own prints of Brooke, and please feel free to post pictures of your creations!
