The head of Alexander the Great is depicted in bronze, possibly crafted by Greeks or Romans. It dates from late Hellenistic to Hadrianic period, approximately between 150 BC and AD 138. This artifact resides in a private collection with inventory number L.2012.4.1. The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York houses it. On January 26th, 2014, it was scanned using the iPhone 5S's 123DCatch app. It has been printed on a Replicator 2 with dark gray PLA filament, featuring 0.10 layer thickness, three shells, zero infill, and both raft and support structures.
