A piece of wooden planking salvaged from the TAL-Y-BONT WRECK, also known as the BRONZE BELL WRECK. This historic wreck is protected under the Protections of Wrecks Act 1973. Removing or damaging any part of a designated wreck without permission can result in severe penalties. Divers and researchers must obtain a license from the Welsh Assembly Government before conducting any activities within the protected area. The recovered planking is now safely housed at Ty Gwyn museum in Barmouth, where it remains on display.
