sketchfab
Marble sculpture dubbed "The Last Haul" is crafted from marble blocks salvaged from the TAL-Y-BONT WRECK, also known as BRONZE BELL WRECK. This wreck site is protected under the Wrecks Act 1973, safeguarding its integrity for future generations. Unauthorized diving or interference within the designated area, including filming, survey, and excavation, constitutes a serious offense punishable by law unless a permit from the Welsh Assembly Government has been secured. This poignant masterpiece now resides outside the Ty Gwyn museum in Barmouth, commissioned by the local council to commemorate the millennium celebrations in 1999/2000. Local artist Frank Cocksey brought this vision to life, depicting three generations of fishermen laboriously hauling in their nets.
